I love ceramics and sewing. I've sewed since I was a teenager and now my children are grown. My daughter recently told me that she loved that I made some of her clothes when she was a child, she thought it was so special. None of her friends' mothers made their clothes! It really *is* nice to have something handmade - something filled with love. That is the promise of unique handmade items.

The pleasures of life are in the small things. I hope you find the fun and the beauty I try to put into each of my items. I'm putting love into these items while you are sleeping, doing chores, taking care of your children. Really. Like the poem by Dylan Thomas, In My Craft Or Sullen Art, "for the lovers, their arms, who neither care nor heed my craft or sullen art". Of course, I"m here on Etsy hoping you will "heed my craft". I consider that the goal of the customer and the goal of the seller should be the same - a great product and service.

My daughter introduced me to Etsy. I totally love this site! She helped me set up the shop, and I totally love the community here. This is a major factor to me - the community, getting to know the buyers and sellers as people.
